Deferrals
International students who cannot start their term because of visa or personal reasons can request a one-time deferral, or delay, of their admissions to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿C.
What is a deferral?
A deferral request is a delay of your admissions to the next open term. Students who are approved for a deferral will not need to submit their ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿C International Application, application fee or supplemental documents again. Your ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿C I-20 will also be re-issued with updated dates to reflect your new admissions term.
Who can apply for a deferral?
All international students who have not been deferred from a previous term and who have submitted or have been admitted to ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿C can apply for a deferral.
Who cannot apply for a deferral?
International students are eligible for a one-time deferral of their application to
the next open term.
If you were deferred from the previous term, you will not qualify for a deferral anymore
and need to submit a new and updated supporting documents.
